We don't fit the mold of a typical restaurant company. We treat each of our restaurants as if it is our only restaurant. Each receives comprehensive support from our experts at the Support Center but maintains the feel of an individually owned and unique concept. Our emphasis on quality is unyielding. Our food and drink is prepared with only the freshest and finest of ingredients by our trained chefs and professional bartenders. We don't have microwave ovens, and all recipes are prepared from scratch daily. We prepare our food and drink the hard way because doing less would diminish our spirited pride and our shining reputation for exceptional restaurants. As a manager, you would have the unique opportunity to develop the clientèle and shape the personality of the restaurant within the boundaries of Back Bay standards and our vision, called Our Fundamentals™. Our vision defines who we are and how we do business. We believe that by taking care of our Really Good People™ (RGP's) who work at the restaurants, we will succeed. At every opportunity, we celebrate our success with our RGPs in the spirit of achievement. We are vigilantly guest-focused and always work to create The Perfect Guest Experience™. SELECTION To ensure that all our RGPs share our passion for the restaurant business and our values and that they have the ability to succeed, we put all management candidates through a rigorous hiring process complete with interviews, written tests, and background checks. The hiring process may take up to two weeks to complete. SHIFT INFORMATION Restaurant work is hard and at times you will be expected to work long hours. You may begin your workday as early as 6:00 AM or finish your day as late as 3:00 AM. Typically, you cover three 12-hour shifts and two 10-hour shifts per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. We believe it is important for our managers to balance their work and personal lives and therefore try to remain flexible within the demands of our business. PERSONAL APPEARANCE An integral part of our guests' overall experience is your grooming and personal appearance. All managers are expected to be neat and clean. Hair must be clean, neat, and styled away from the face. Mustaches and beards must be neat and well-trimmed. Managers may not grow mustaches or beards while working. In addition, jewelry should be worn sparingly and there should be an equal number of earrings in both ears. Tattoos are permitted only if they are not visible to guests. REWARDS OF A MANAGEMENT CAREER AT BACK BAY Aside from the pleasure and pride of being part of a successful restaurant company and the challenge of running a fast-paced and high-volume business, we offer many tangible and attractive benefits.
